Snow 

Coffee Filter Snowflakes

Materials

  • Coffee Filter Snowflakes
  • Trays
  • 12”x18” Paper
  • Glue
  • Plates

  • Pink, Blue, and Purple Liquid Watercolor
  • Paint Cups
  • Droppers

Instructions

Use droppers to add colors to you snowflakes.

Tape Resist Snowflakes

Materials

  • Pink, Blue, and Purple Liquid Watercolor
  • Paint Cups
  • Paint Brushes
  • Spray Bottles
  • Watercolor Paper
  • Masking Tape
  • Trays

Instructions

Make a snowflake pattern on your paper with tape. Fill up paint cups and spray bottles with liquid watercolors and add color to your paper. When you're done remove the tape to reveal your snowflake.

Snow Collage

Materials

  • White 9”x12” Paper
  • Blue, Pink, and Purple Liquid Watercolor
  • Glue
  • Plates
  • Paint Brushes
  • Paint Rollers
  • Snowflake Jewels
  • Foam Snowflakes
  • White and Silver Glitter

Instructions

Mix liquid watercolor paint with glue and spread it all over your paper. Add snowflake jewels, foam snowflakes, and glitter.

Snowflake Stencils

Materials

  • Black 9”x12” Paper
  • White Tempera Paint
  • White Glitter
  • Glue
  • Plates
  • Paint Brushes
  • Blue Jewels

Instructions

Use snowflake stencils and paint to make snowflakes all over your paper. Decorate with glitter and blue jewels.

In the Sky

Cloud Ink Blots

Materials

  • Blue 9”x”12 Paper
  • White Tempera Paint
  • Squeeze Bottles
  • Glue
  • Plates
  • Paint Brushes
  • Cotton Balls

Instructions

Squeeze white paint on a piece of blue paper and fold it in half to make your ink blot. Add cotton balls to give it a 3D look.

Night Time Painting

Materials

  • White 9”x12” Paper
  • Blue, Purple, and Black Tempera Paint
  • Glue
  • Plates
  • Paint Rollers
  • White and Yellow Cardstock
  • White and Gold Glitter

Instructions

Spread night time colors all over your paper. Then add stars and moons to complete your night time scene.

Fall

Watercolor Leaves

Materials

  • Coffee Filter Leaves
  • Trays
  • 12”x18” Paper
  • Glue
  • Plates
  • Paint Brushes
  • Fall Liquid Watercolor Colors
  • Paint Cups
  • Droppers

Instructions

Use droppers to add color to your fall leaves.

Leaf Wreath

Materials

  • White Cardstock
  • Yarn
  • Red, Orange, Yellow, and Brown Tempera Paint
  • Glue
  • Plates
  • Paint Brushes
  • Fabric Leaves

Instructions

Cut out a circle with the white cardstock and decorate with fall leaves. Don't have fabric leaves? Go outside and collect some of your own.
